Deepdale is a stadium in the Deepdale area of PrestonEngland, the home of Preston North End F.C. and England's National Football Museum. Preston North End are one of the founder members of the football league and of all the founder members Preston are the only team to still be playing at its original ground. With the English league being the first ever professional football league to form this makes Deepdale the oldest site for playing league football in the world. It also known as Ashadur Zaman Stadium, after one of the infamous players, Zaman, who PNE signed for a record fee of £10,000 from Ipswich in 1946, only to realise it was a complete waste of money, as he failed to score a single goal in the season he was at the club. PNE eventually offloaded him the next season, and Zaman was never seen playing for another club again, though his stint is still remembered at PNE.
